Your equestrian adventure starts at Mozambique Horse Safaris, located 45 minutes from Santorini Mozambique. Here, you will be welcomed by your hosts, Pat and Mandy Retzlaff, who are renowned for their fine trail horses and excellent guided tours.
Whether you are a beginner or an avid horse rider, your outride will be tailored to your experience and fitness level, as well as your preferred scenery. Riders can choose between a variety of day rides including Standard Rides, Ocean Walks and Fishing Village Excursions.

Once they have settled, you will mount bareback and wade out to the deeper water following your guide along the coastline past colourful dhows and sandy beaches towards distant Mangrove trees. The Ocean Walk is only done in calm conditions. Suitable for non-riders.

This ride incorporates all the wonderful eco-systems in the archipelago and the destination is Managlise Fishing Village. Once sat in simple thatch shelter, newly harvested coconuts are cracked open and a traditional Mozambican lunch is served.
The Fishing Village Ride is completely authentic, rich in cultural experience and brings much appreciated business to a locality well off the beaten track.
