  • Malaria This is a Malaria area. Prophylactics are at the discretion of the guest. The property is fogged weekly and all beds are fitted with mosquito nets. Mosquito repellent is available in every room.
  • Mobile Phone Mobile phone reception is good in most areas of Santorini Mozambique and the islands.
  • Visa Requirements Mozambique is now rolling out a Visa exemptions with temporary suspension of the pre-registration process for Visitors from Visa -exempt countries. Clients can now enter Mozambique without any form of pre-registration. Clients from countries that are not exempt still need to apply for a SINGLE-ENTRY Visa. This can be done at the Vilanculos Airport and the cost is USD 50.00VISA EXEMPTION is approved for passport holders of these countries: America; Canada; Switzerland; United Arab Emirates; Israel; Japan; Russia; Saudi Arabia; Belgium; Denmark; Spain; Norway; Sweden; Netherlands; United Kingdom; Republic of Korea; Côte d’Ivoire; Finland; Ireland; Ghana; Senegal; Indonesia; Singapore; Germany; France; Italy; Portugal; China and Ukraine. Upon entry into Mozambique (Vilanculos Airport) clients from Visa -exempt countries now only need the following:
    *Pay MZN 650.00 (at the current rate of exchange this is USD 12.00 or R 200.00). There are credit card facilities, but cash is preferred (no change available) so please ensure you have the correct cash amount. USD and RAND accepted.
    *Provide passport with 6 months validity until AFTER the last day of your stay in Mozambique, and 3 blank pages.
    *Provide confirmation of round-trip flight details (return tickets).
    *A letter confirming proof of accommodation.

Weather in Vilanculos

Vilanculos experiences a tropical climate with consistent, warm temperatures year-round. Summer months are hot and humid with balmy evenings and one can expect the occasional thunderstorm. Winter months are slightly milder in temperature with minimal rainfall and cooler evenings.

Pack light cotton-based clothing along with a couple of warmer tops for winter evenings (June-August). Don’t forget to pack your camera and binoculars for any keen birders. A sunhat or cap, as well as sunscreen and sunglasses, are essential.
