It is highly regarded as one of the best scuba diving and snorkelling destinations in Africa for its thriving marine life, untouched coral reefs, and pristine diving conditions. The Bazaruto Archipelago consists of five islands, namely; Bazaruto, Banque, Benguerra, Magaruque, and Santa Carolina (also known as Paradise Island). Its warm waters are home to the region’s last viable population of dugongs and many other gentle giants such as humpback whales, manta rays and dolphins.
