Recently, we honoured two remarkable milestones: 10 years of service for two of our longstanding team members, Calistro and Paulino. Their dedication, leadership, and passion have become integral to the heartbeat of Santorini.
Calistro – Calistro, who began his journey with us as a barman, quickly stood out with his charisma and capability. Rising through the ranks to become one of our trusted Duty Managers, he now ensures the villa runs smoothly-always with a smile and a sense of humour. Known for his impressive local connections, Calistro is the person who can get just about anything sorted. His entrepreneurial spirit doesn’t stop at the villa; he and his sons run a small family firewood business in their free time.
Paulino – Guests who’ve spent time on the water will likely know Paulino, our seasoned skipper and a true guardian of the sea. Paulino’s relationship with Santorini began even before the villa was built, working as a personal skipper for the owners. Born and raised in Vilanculos, his passion for the ocean was ignited early, and he followed that passion to become the expert he is today. With a deep knowledge of the archipelago’s intricate waterways and the best fishing spots, Paulino is always ready with a fascinating marine fact or a good laugh.
